Talking Opinions on custom paint schemes

These are photos of one of our ~cough~ member's Formula. Right now it is bright red with a black fiberglass hood which needs to be painted anyways. The car is 9-second capable and is not a daily driver.

If you were building a fast drag car, what paint job would you choose?

1. Keep it red (stock)
2. Paint the roof black like a Camaro
3. Two-tone paint job

Two tone. Funny, I was thinking an almost identical scheme for my truck. Different colors though.

Yeah, my vote was for the two tone. In my opinion that, is just great looking. Keep the white dividing line when you do it though.

I don't like the two tone. Looks like a Rolls Royce or something. Keep it stock.

There is a badass grey like color on the Chevy TrailBlazers. If I had to do any custom paint Fbody, that would be it.

I say #3...but none are really wild enough for a race car.

Where does the LS1Tech logo go?

Just paint it red. Driving around with an unpainted hood what a ricer.

Why not a completely different color with some sort of stripe/accent. Electron Blue, Viper grey or something similar?

I vote for him to do it either Viper Steel Gray, Electron Blue, or Lambo Pearl Orange

Yeah my thoughts exactly. Two tone jobs should be done lower not with the upper portion being smaller. The white dividing line needs to go. Pin striping on on F-body is a nasty as chrome fender flares and chrome trim on the door edge.

Guys, remember that this is a DRAG car. Not a daily driver. Compared with the paint jobs on 99% of the drag cars out there, this one is very mild.

Exactly...tell John not to be a wuss. Look at Jay Johnson's or Lee cars....that two-tone and the others are sedate and ugly IMO.
