What product to use for scuff/scratch removal?

What product to use for scuff/scratch removal? Someone clipped my driver's side front bumper cover. It's not gouged or deeply scratched. It looks superficial. What product should I use to try to rub it out?

First off what color is the car? Because if its a dark color ( like black or dark blue ) you dont want to use a "rubbing" compound because it will leave swirlies. There is a way that that you could do it but it would cost you just as much for the materials as it would to just take it to a local body shop and have them take them out. I would take it to a body shop for 2 reasons, A. They have the materials and the tools to take them out. B. If they leave any swirlies or miss some then they will be able to get them out!
But dont let them try and sell you a paint job if you dont need one, here is the basic rule about scratches, if you can drag your finger nail across them and can catch or fell the scratch with your nail then to fix it properly you will need a paint job. But if you cant catch your nail in them then they should buff out.
And to answer your question rubbing compound doesnt take the clear off of the car.

certain compounds will to certain things to clearcoat. You will only remove the cc if you use a buffer and dont know what your doing. you can try get some cleaner polish if you dont want to use any kind of compound. Meguiars makes a good cleaner polish you can buy locally so does 3m.
Clay bar it. If it is a rub mark, no matter the color, a little clay bar ( I use Zaino Bro's), some mildly soaped water and lots of rubbing, and gone. Works nice.

I have found the 3M rubbing compounds (for clear coat) to be great. They have taken out some scratches that I thought for sure were there to stay. If you know what you are doing, the 3M will be fine. You can follow it up with some Meguiars ScratchX. Great stuff. Also, like it was said before, if it is just a scuff then clay it off. I use these product in this order-
Meguiars Clay
3M Rubbing Compound for Clear Coats
Meguiars Scratch X
Meguiars NXT Polish
Leaves a great swirl free shine.
