Removal of console in 2000 Z Hi folks,
I'm in the middle of tearing apart my interior to lay down some Brown Bread, and I have everything out except the carpet and the console (carpet is not out because console is not out!). I am wondering what the trick is to getting the console out from under the dashboard and over the parking brake without cracking it in 2-3 pieces. Any meaningful suggestions welcome!

there should be a bolt on each side under the HVAC controls facing toward each door, then open your armrest and take out the change tray and there are two bolts under that, that removes the top of the console, then there are a few more bolts under that... that should remove everything.
