Default rubber trim

around the hatch area, the trim that lines the trunk and the side panels tuck underneath got ripped in one area today when my friend was trying to fab it to fit with my stealth box. he tore the underside and actually ripped a little slit off of the top of it; that rip on the top is the only thing noticeable, but you can see the small tears if you look underneath it. i don't want this tear in that little rubber to spread, so i'm just wondering if there is anything i can do to prevent it from spreading? it's in the far right corner, just above the tail light. any suggestions? or just leave it alone? i had left it alone up till this point, and never touched it and just let it sit under the plastic panel, but my friend was intent on getting it to look right. damnit
