Default Need a durable wax for daily driver

I'm trying to find a wax that will last a little while for my camaro and truck. From looking on this site, I've decided to use Menzerna IP and FPII. I also just bought my porter cable last night. I like pinnacle but I heard it isn't very durable. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Zaino, Klasse, and Collinite are the most durable.

You could even do a combination of them all. Klasse AIO, Zaino Z5/Z2, topped with Collinite. That should last you a while

I've been very pleased with Blackfire. Usually, I do a coat of Blackfire and then layer some Meguiars #26 on top, for extra shine and protection. A quick detailer also helps.

What about Meguiars Gold Class? Works well for me and lasts and decent amount of time. It doesn't help i wash my car 3 times a week, and wax it like 2X's a month to keep a good wax on it with all the washin I do.

Meguiar's doesn't really have any thing in the same class. Nothing more durable than 2-3 months.

if you decide on menzerna. you need FMJ. the polishes are just that. polishes..
btw. use the IP then the FPII then glaze and/or fmj with a wheel.. talk'n shades only viewing!

Exclamation

On my 2004 Duramax, I descided to give Zaino a try. Now this is my daily driver, sees construction sites, goes though soft cloth car washes, even once (God forgive me - it was REALLY dirty) the gas station touchless washes, sits outside most of the time, and was waxed on Memorial Day weekend. Well it still beads, I am very impressed with it's longevity.

A long lived "off the shelf" wax is Liquid Glass.

Meguires Gold Class is a show finish product, no life in it.

i like the tech wax (NXT) by meguirers. but it isnt snooty enough for a lot of people. if it can last in the heat and sun of florida it can last anywhere.

I totally agree with that. I use NTX, and my wax job lasted almost 4 months because I was busy. Granted, yes it wasn't still real slick feeling, but even after using a chamois to dry my car (which I've heard "strips" the wax off, my car was beading in the rain.

You guys seem to be an exception with the NXT longevity. It normally last around 1-2 months tops.

tropicare is the best for a daily driver.
im not saying this because i distribute tropicare but before i sold tropicare i was a long time zaino user. tropicare is new to the market but is gaining popularity very quickly. when i used to do zaino on my car it would take me 5 hours i got tired of the mixing process and the wear and tear on my hands.
with tropicare it takes me 3 hours to do the intire tropicare process.
which is
1 wash car with dawn to strip old wax or polish from car
2 clay bar intire car with tc-1 clay bar and a mix of tc-6 carwash and water
3 wash car with tc-6 carwash
4 swirlcut car with tc-8 swirlcutter (this step is optional depending on car)
5 polish with tc-3 polish
6 finish up with tc-5 detail spray and microfiber rag

no mixing of anything and it goes on easy and off easy and leaves durable shine water beads rite off

if anyone is interested pm me for a sample and info

How can you say it is the best? Best according to whom? What determines the best?

You should look into becoming a site sponsor before you try to make sales in every post.

If you really take care of a car, in my opinion, you shouldn't even go that long without waxing, especially if you wash your car alot. But this is just my opinion. I have tried a couple of waxes and I believe meguiars is the best...right next to Liquid glass which is also very good!

Really taking care of your car doesn't mean you have to wax/seal your car all the time. Really caring for your car consists of using proper techniques and supplies (ie. mitts, towels, etc.) to maintain your finish.

There are certainly no "best" waxes/sealants, either.
