Default 02 gauges in a 98 Z28

i have a 98 camaro and was trying to figure out how to install a 02 gauge cluster....

from what i have figured out after looking at it.
i have to swap my motherboard from my gauges to the trans am one. but this is where i am worried at. where the odometer is. the 98 plug is differernt than the 02. now if i cut and rewiring the 02 plug to my wirings will that work?

any other ideals?

thanks

I believe 98's were different. A few different dummy lights and a lower red line . . .

It won't work.......the 98 is wired different than any other years

Can't remember off hand, but the Tach gets it's signal differently than the 99-up's do so I'm 99.9% sure it will never work.
