99 ta window help!
99 ta window help! i bought stp silicone spray and applied it to my drivers side window dirt guard track and moved the window up/down and now have silicone streaks all over. i thought this was diaelectric grease. i guess i was wrong??? how do i remove it from my window. I've been going at it for over an hour with a razor blade continually scraping all of this off. it's not working.
any suggestions on how to remove it? also if there is a brand anyone uses on their windows to help them move more freely, please let me know. thanks a lot!

try break cleaner?? we used to clean our .50 cal and M240 machine guns after gunnery with that stuff after literally thousands of rounds, and the carbon buildup compounded by weather conditions would just fall away after a few minutes.
I like using white lithium grease on these cars. Works rather well, no noticible residue. Obviously you don't want to use any lubricant that involves grease on glass b/c of the streaking, but the mechanism doesn't really contact the glass so you should be good. Just can't use it on the dirt tracks
They're fabric for a reason, its a replaceable item. Time for new ones maybe?
