thermometer in rearview... first off i have the car in my sig... i was wondering if there is a way to install a mirror with a built in thermometer in it? its not a huge deal but it would be pretty cool having that. if its too big of a PITA then i wont worry about it. thanks in advance for input.

I have very little experience with electronics, but I installed this in less than 2 hours. The hardest part is running the temp probe through the fire wall. Other than that a piece of cake! Here is a pic:

In the vert the lights are already in the mirror, not sure about a T-Top. The only "new" wire I had to run was a ground strap. The temp probe can be fed through a grommet under/near the PCM and routed to up front of the car. Mine are clipped near the fog light. The sensor needs to "feel" outside air.

I ran my temp probe the same way as Xsta, through the grommet under the PCM and have mine routed by the grill. I ran the wires from behind the glove box (where that grommet feeds through) up the A-Pillars and across the headliner. The headliner just pops down enough to stuff those wires in. Now, the 12V consant it needs for power I ran out of the IGN spot in the interior fuse block. It is an expansion spot for just such a project. Then I ran that wire up the A-pillars also. Super easy!
