Default Fog Lights & Lowering kit - advice needed!

Hello,

Where can I find fog lights for my 01 Trans Am?

I have seen a few people who have the "light blue" type of fog lights on their cars. Does anyone know where I can get a set of these bulbs? Also, could you direct me to replacement bulbs for the Trans Am aslo.

Just for clarity, I am speaking of the two fog lights on the front bumper, in the middle, closest to the ground, the circular ones.

Also, I want to lower my car this winter while it is in storage. Can anyone suggest a lowering kit? The back sits about 1 inch higher than the front. I assume this is because alot more weight is on the front of the car. It isn't that noticable, but anyways. I would like to lower it 1-1.5 inches, not too much because the roads in west michigan aren't the best.

If you could post a nice pic of your car with a lowering kit on it, that would be great too.

Thanks for any links, etc, you can provide.

If your talking about just the bulb you can buy a replacement halageon (sp) bulb at about any parts store, if your talking about the whole foglight assembly, you can buy those at autozone too, i hate to say but in the ricer section they will have circular lights almost identical to our foglights, i think they are around $50, there are a couple of people here to that have those and they look really good. I went with Eibach's Prokit to lower my car, it dropped it 1.25" all the way around and looks alot better, the roads here in oklahoma arent where our taxes go either so i would steer away from the sportline if i were you, i'll post a pic if i can find one.

EDIT: I cant find any pics but im sure other people on here do, there are two levels of the prokit, one is the one i have, 1.25" drop all the way around, then there is a 1.5" in the front and a 1.3" for the back, THEN there are sportlines which are 1.7 in the front and 1.8 in the rear. Alright im done

I purchased the foglights at pep boys. Their called BLAZER TECH. Their a lot better than factory foglights. The lenses are made out of glass instead of plastic(factory). The cost me 39.99 plus tax. Their is another brand thats very similar called CYBER WHITES.

a lowering kit will eventually ruin your shocks..dont make my mistake inless your looking to get shocks that cost a pretty penny...the shocks arent really made for the lowering springs so keep that inmind

Do you really need new shocks when you get springs?

I wouldn't htink you would, possibly your car just had bad shocks?

Anyone have any input on this?

Anybody know the bulb type? (9006, 1157, etc?) I need one too!

How do you get to them to change the bulb out? I've never really looked, but I don't see where you could get to them handily.

I put clear bulbs in my turn signals on the front, I just stuck my hand thru the hole under the bulbs to get to them. Is there a hole you can get thru to get to them???

Thanks,
Taco

I lowered mine on stock shocks, because i didnt have the money for aftermarkets, the original shocks i had on the car were removed and replaced with SLP take off's, which are the stock shocks SLP removed when building the SS's and Firehawks, I change my bulbs by poping up my head lights and you can reach your hand down there to replace them, im not sure if you can reach them through the access panel for the signal lights, you may able to tho, so you could try that
