One one guys in my car club has the "official" mod garage . He's got a big fridge with the keg/tap mod , we have found it to be most essential in the proper modding mode. And , let's not forget the Texas Hold'Em Table.

About the lift that rex posted...Is the piece that the top car sits on a whole piece, or is it similiar to an exhaust shop lift? Very nice either way

The old guy that built the house we bought also had fun with the garage. It's a 2 car but is big enough that the SS is across the front and there's room for both of our SUVs. It is insulated, heated and has a deep sink as well as it's own bathroom. The heat is real nice this time of year. It got down to -20F night before last.

Thanks for the compliments guys! It's an Eagle SS-7000N lift, the website is http://www.eagleequip.com/ under "Service/storage lifts". It's the narrow model of their storage lifts and the mirrors on an f-body clear with 3 or so inches on either side. Amazing quality, welds like cake frosting, super strong (7000 lbs capacity), very quiet hydraulic operation, etc etc etc. Only took a day and my dad and me to put it together.

Ceiling is 10' btw.

If anybody gets one, pm me 'cuz there are a few "tricks" in assembly...

Well, as long as were posting lifts and other fun garage topics, I mind as well post up the 'Family' shop project.

My father and I have been working on it for over a year now, and its finally shaping out to be something special for us. It was at one time just a dirt floor pole barn. It is now heated, insulated (the yellow 'twinkie' foam walls) cement floored, air-line plumbed with 7.5 horse compressor, 4 Rotary lifts, lots of tools and two level storage, solvent tank and planned beadblaster. In the shop at the moment (These pics are about 4 months old) are 5 cars (one's at the bodyshop), two of them current restorations, two 24' Featherlite trailers with one car placed in a single trailer, the other one empty, and almost no more room for parts. The maximum vehicle occupancy, with all bays filled and the two trailers moved out is 12. Also, we've found that Sherwin-Williams industrial floor paint doesent hold as well as promised, so we will lay linoleum as soon as we bite the bullet and move everything out.

Anyone got some wrenching to do?

Man, I wish I had the space and money for 1 Rotary lift, much less 4. Awesome looking garage though Reed2000BlackLS1.

You know what they say on MTV Cribs, "Here is where all the magic happens"

Plenty of parking!

The third bay is where I have my workbench, tools, air compressor, etc... my workshop. The ceiling is 10' high, so I'll probably be adding a lift like Rex showed. I've been shopping around for one lately.

If you're in the market for a lift, check out Mohawk...they're a little more expensive, but they're built like a tank...

WOW guys, nice shops. I need to add on looking at some of those shots. Its not always what the garage looks like, its what lives in them.

Not bad! But what happened to the left side of your driveway?

Is there a reason they didn't lay it out straight?

It's not like you would be encroaching on your neighbors land.

I'm still waiting for my house to be done after 1 1/2 years and 7 construction managers later

My garage will be 28' wide and 23' deep and the driveway will be 26' wide all the way to the street. I will have room for 6 cars in the driveway and 3 in the garage.

Now only if Lennar would finish my house.

They say I should be closing the middle of March.

I added a few pics. The veiw from the master bedroom is well worth the wait though.

Thanks! The costs of the lifts were actually very decent, seeing as one was a year end sale at a convention, and one was left outside after the first buyer didn't have the money needed to finish and seal the deal. Its dirty and scratched all to hell, but it works like a charm. The 4 posts were my father's idea, seeing as he's the one with the big $ toys.

You'd be suprised at how little room there actually is now that we've got everything back in there. The trailers is whats really killing us, and really, only the two-post next to the workbench is really the most useable, because the other is crammed between the wall and the other 2 closest lifts. My Z -BARELY- fits on that one. But it works. I may go take some pics this weekend while I'm down there and show you just what I mean. Might even sneak a couple shots of my dad's toys for the masses.

WOW! Is there a more awesome pair of cars to fill a garage than these two??
Sweet set up too. I'm waiting for my house to be finished, complete with 3 car garage, 24feet deep each to house my 1968 Nova, 2001 Z28, and car trailer.Trailers not allowed in yard or driveway. I'm setting up workshop in garage with Flowbench and grinding bench, industrial sink, solvent wash tank.
I have insulated walls and will have A/C for those hot, muggy summer days.
When its ready i will post pictures.
