LED side T/A grills
1. You need a voltage source and ground I would wire into your parking light's as said before.
2. once you get your voltage source you need to measure your voltage with a Multimeter. With the car running. You should get somewhere around 13 volt's
3. Now you need to look at whatever LED's you get and look at ther operating voltage. It shouldbe somwhere on the box. It will probably be 3.7volts
4. Now refer back to the led package and look at the operating current which will probably be 20mA which is .02.
5. Now for the math part of it you need to use this formula to figure out wihch resistor you need to use.
Source voltage - LED operating Voltage
-------------------------------------- = Your Resistor OHM value
LED Current.
For example I will use the value's above.
13volts - 3.7volts
------------ = 465 OHM's
.02
6. Once you get your resistor value. You just need to solder them to the positive wire of the LED and that will dropsource voltage to 3.7volts. Oh yeah you can be off by 15 OHM's on the resistor snd still be fine.
7. Then just run your + wire to you positive side of the LED and negavtive to negative to the other.
You can buy the Resistor's from radio shack 99cents for 5 You will need one for each led you use. I hope this helps and I would probably use at least 10 led's on each side to flood the area with light. I just made a license plate light and I used 15 LED's for it and it is bright. If you have any other question's feal free to pm me back and I will try to help.
