That's a sweet idea. Or do the inverse of it... How cool would that be? 300+ per side gonna be hella bright! I'd like to see how you got the lenses to all seal up, but I think that's probably a trade secret....

You could do the bowtie in a lower profile. Make it much wider and not as tall. Cut down on the riceyness. I agree if it was not done right it wouldnt look good.

Theres pics of the first set on that site..
I was thinking of doing the same thing, but I don't know that much about LED's. From what I can see...The driving lights are the lower row and when you hit the brakes the top smaller row lights up? Am I right? Or do the lower running lights light up brighter with the top brake lights on too? How is the heat from the rear of the taillights and How did you seal them so water or dirt can't get in? Are they plug and play too? Thanks for your time and for any info.

yes your right... actually believe it or not leds give off little or no heat, compared to lights theyre nothing.... the sealing is a pain in the a$$... its pretty complicated... and no theyre not plug and play, its lots of tideous work, lots of soldering.. when Im done all you have to do is wire them up, takes 5 mins and your good to go.... I honestly wouldnt reccommend doing them unless you know a pretty good amount about leds... I didnt know crap when I first started, Ive gone mostly on the try and fail method and just figured it out as I go, but I have learned a lot since then so Im pretty good at it now.....

its a 01 prelude. too ricey?? ok but a taillight is a taillight ricey or not. i thought you want to make some money, you look like you do good work. just so you know its not some tacked up import. its clean, stock electron blue with TL type-s wheels. i have a hid conversion but would love to do a custom set of led tails to round it out. i love advanced lighting it really gives a car a modern upscale look.

I was talking about the chevy bowtie being ricey, can you get me an extra set of tail lights cheap? I would have to get a set you dont need just in case I cant fix them.

I found this site it has some diagrams on leds.

http://www.lastofthebreed.com/Instal...rdLEDCargo.htm

also I beleive you can control the brightness with resistors and make it where when the running lights are on they are all on but dim then when brakes are on they all get bright.

LS1_SS, why are you using resistors? If you are wiring them in a parallel/series configuration, you shouldn't need any.
Can you explain how you are using the resistors?

Yes you wont need any, but what happens when your voltage just jolts up for no reason? there goes all your hard work, its much safer to have them, even if there absolutly nothing like im using 56 ohm just to be safe....
