tail light panel don't weigh anything to begin with and it surely don't need to be stronger unless you plan on hitting it with a BFH. my friend has a carbon fiber SS hood on his cavalier and i don't think it's really any lighter. i think he gets mad at me when i tell him we should paint it.

he is thinking about using CF vinyl, not real CF. so it wont be lighter, it will just have the look of CF. it would look pretty good, i dont think i would do it, but to each his own. post some pics if you do it.

It is VIS or GTP that makes it they also have C/F doors,hatches,fenders,mirrors,fueldoor,ect.......
They are a import car part company but make many other parts! Very nice stuff.
And Carbon fiber is not RICE as the fastest cars in drag racing are all carbon fiber bodys. Would you call BBC 6second camaro "rice"? I on the other hand any car that has alot of show of race stuff and no go is rice if you ask me!

Someone did that awhile back but they sent the stock panel in to get covered in synthetic carbon fiber.

hey 2fast4u, if you would have read my post you would see that my opinion on carbon fiber is just that:my opinion. by the way i have not seen any unfinished carbon fiber body cars at the track lately. sure CF does have it uses but at least paint the **** if its going to be seen
