Default Painted Brake Calipers

This is a question for people who have painted their own calipers. When you prepared them for painting were you able to get 100% of the brake dust off or did you leave that last little bit that was stuck down in the texture? The only way I could get it all out was to practicaly polish the damn things with my dremel and that just seems like a lot of work. If anyone has any advice on what I should do I'd really appreciate it.

Sometimes you have to work hard to get better results. I wouldn't be too worried about how hard it was. Sometimes that stuff is really embedded into the metal. That is really not uncommon.

Spray them down real good with brake cleaner. That stuff will degrease anything.

Yeah just spray it down and scrub it with steel wool, it works pretty damn good. Anything that wont come off that way isnt going to so just paint over it...
