Painted Brake Calipers This is a question for people who have painted their own calipers. When you prepared them for painting were you able to get 100% of the brake dust off or did you leave that last little bit that was stuck down in the texture? The only way I could get it all out was to practicaly polish the damn things with my dremel and that just seems like a lot of work. If anyone has any advice on what I should do I'd really appreciate it.

Sometimes you have to work hard to get better results. I wouldn't be too worried about how hard it was. Sometimes that stuff is really embedded into the metal.

Spray them down real good with brake cleaner. That stuff will degrease anything.
