Default quick headlight question....

Ok so i swapped over from stock headlights with blackouts to black bezel Halos today.....

they look GREAT but im a bit puzzled about something. im used to the look of the cover sticking out and "filling up" any gaps between the headlight, bumper and hood.

i pulled the stock headlights off before and didn't think to notice whether there was a gap between the headlight and the front bumper. when i put the halos in (yes correctly....), i noticed about a 1/4 inch gap and also that the hood seems to overlap the top of the lamp by about the same amount....

does anyone else with halos have a slight gap at the top/bottom of the lamp?

i've looked at a couple pictures and it seems like other cars might look similar to mine but its tough to tell (basically it looks like the headlights are just generally a quarter inch too far back). i guess the stock ones might have been like this the whole time and i just didnt notice because they were covered.

any input??? (i'll post some pics when i can borrow a digital camera).

Did you swap the stock headlight's adjustment bracket on to the new Halos, or just used the ones that came with it? It seems alot of people were able to fix the gap by using the bracket off of the stock light.

I had the same thing happen to me, but it was only after i took my stock headlights out to put in some clear signals. After i put the headlights back in, they sat back about 1/4 - 1/2 inch. I KNOW they did not sit like that before, but I'm not sure what you can do to fix it. I don't really see any adjustment on the back of them to make them sit flush with the bumper... and it's annoying the hell out of me

im wondering if i could stack a couple washers on all the bolts that mount the metal headlight bracekt (ie: the one that doesn't come off the car) to the rad support. My theory is that it should move that whole assembly forward a little bit.

If you swap the stock adjustment bracket like felton316 said you'll get rid of the gap. The brackets that the halo's come with aren't that good. I easily stripped the threads on my drivers side bracket when I put them in the first time.
