Default T-tops

I recall reading some posts on here a while back that there was some interest in carbon fiber t-top production. Just letting some of those interested parties on here if there are still any.... that dream may soon be realized. We are in the process of making a few sets once they are produced and available I will post up pictures and get setup with the mods on this board to start making these a readily available item.

Also looking to have a complete carbon fiber dash coming out for the Trans Ams as well as the Camaros. This is not the Vinyl stickers, this wil be a "Real Carbon Fiber replacement dash"

We welcome any and all comments.

yes but that guy was a *** Hole and screwed many people out of money.

I wanted a set of carbon T-tops. and maybe the dash.

Any idea of price would realy set the the dream or a must buy for many people!

Could you make the carbon tops only the flat glass part with the mounting hole or what ever to keep cost down then we can build them with or t-top parts?

I am very interested in this. And have look into it a little. However I was told to make one costs more as it would be a custom one of hand made. but with a mold and a few cost per set would go down alot.

I have no problem being a test dummy for a set....

I am sure, these are hard to craft. They will come with the carbon fiber in place of the glass, the weather striping, the locking mechanism piece(this is just the black plastic piece) this piece too will be carbon fiber.
The only thing you will need is t he locking mechanism off of your stock set of t-tops, as if a new one is installed your key will not adequately lock it in place.

The price on the t-tops for preliminary mock-ups is looking at around 1300.00. We will know a solid price once the first couple of sets are completed.

Same thing on the dash, being that no one else makes these for Trans Ams and the complexity of the trans am dash, I am sure the market on this piece is going to be fairly high as well.

But I will keep everyone posted.

And please let me know everyone who is interested so we can have a better realistic number on the output of this product.

Are you saying that the plastic piece that the handle mounts on and the piece that you grap to remove the t_tops will be C/F?

$1300 is alot of money but for a well built part out of C/F. I will take it. As for the dash I like the idea and would need to see pics as it would look sweet but alittle out of place in a stock interor car, gutted race car would work.

I understand that 1300 is a lot of money, but considering through the dealer the stock glass pieces run 1750.00 I dont think 1300.00 for a complete carbon fiber set of t-tops is much to ask.

Ok there is a black plastic piece which mounts to the glass from the factory, that piece will be molded out of carbon fiber. It is this piece which the "locking mechanism" mounts to in order lock the t-tops in place.

Pictures will be up soon of everything that will be coming with the kit. Just need to know how many interested parties there are.

well unlike the guy who was saying he was making them before, we will get a few sets completed before they go up for sale, so we can ship them out as soon as the funds are received. As of right now, we are looking at a completion date of the first week in march.

So two sets are spoken for, any more interested parties?

I would definitely be interested in a camaro dash kit. I'm having a hard time picturing the T-Tops though...you also replace the GLASS w/ CF??? Will it have the same CF look from below? sounds pretty cool

It is against site rules to solicit business without being a paying sponsor here. We do not allow these "gauging interest" threads to happen. This is how the last guy screwed several members, so we will no longer allow them.

Contact me at ynot_dv8@hotmail.com when you are ready to become a sponsor. Thanks

Tony
