Why do you have to reuse the factory A-pilar?

The pillar pod does not replace the whole piece. It only mates up to it.

Thanks, I was starting to consider the cut & splice, I'm good with a soldering iron & heat shrink. I didn't think of the shifter area, that will do great.

Ah k. In my Stang I had a tripple pod, and it said not to remove the old A-pilar also. But I did it anyways, because it was a full piece from Autometer I believe.

you can get those.. they are about 60$.. thats what i plan on getting because i dont like the way the other one just sits on the existing.. this one makes it look like its supposed to be there..

check ebay.. i thought i saw 2 on there tonight.
