none. the standard bulbs are only 37.5 watts so don't expect BRIGHT light by any means. I don't even think that they make 893/894 bulbs of higher wattage either. Any bulb that you put in there will look dim if you look at it while standing in front of the car because there is a horizontal metal plate inside the fog lamp housing that cuts the beam of light parallel to the road. if you get down on the floor at a point below the beam cut-off it will appear pretty bright. hope that helps.

When you say try to buy a relay, were can you get one and how much are they? The relay just plugs into the fuse box under the hood right?

Yes... they do. They fit and they work. Make sure to clean the bulb and not to handle them without clean gloves.
You can find them pretty cheap on ebay too.

Check out sylvania silverstars either 894 or 893ST.
The 894 is the direct replacement right angle bulb assy.
The 893ST is a straight (not a right angle) but fits just fine.

Good luck.

If you have the extra cash, I would just chunk the stock fog lamps and go for the PIAA 1100x. They are driving lights, and put out 85w of power. They are as bright (probably brighter) than the Sylvania Silverstad headlamps that I have. The color pattern matches as well.

It is just a suggestion if you are interested.

If you dont want to spend an big amount of money to upgrade theres a guy on another LS1 forum who simply replaced the stock lights with a set of Pilot 2820 fog lamps. $29 at Autozone.

The 893ST fits in the fog lamp housing without modification, and connects to the stock wiring harness without modification. It is direct replacement, the difference is that the plug is straight on the 893ST and the 894 is at an angle.

That is not completely correct. Unless your talking about placing any bulb in the stock foglamp housing (they are plastic and wont handle high wattage bulbs).

I bought a cheap set of blazertech 3200 fog lamps and they came with a metal housing. I replaced the bulbs with dirt cheap 100watt bulbs and they were extremely better than stock. Obviously, the light intensity on the ground wont cover a large area (dont expect headlamp lighting) since the fogs are mounted deep inside the bumper, BUT, you'd be suprised how much better it could be with 100watt bulbs.

Unfortunately my cheap $10 bulb (or probably cheaper) didnt last longer than 4 months. Im looking for something with better quality to last longer. If I dont find anything ill go back to the cheap 100watt bulbs.

Is there any good company that makes good high wattage bulbs?

The PIAA 1100x is great but its not something i'd mount in my bumper. The diameter of the lens is too small in comparison to the stock fog lens. Also its kinda ricer looking too if you ask me.. pic attached.

As for the sylvanias they are both 37.5 Watts... I tried that wattage on a different brand bulb and the fogs looked as if they were stuck in the grey area between appearing "cosmetic" and actually "being bright enough" (for me atleast) - if you know what I mean.

Hey you know what would be really cool? These! (pic attached). According to product details the foglight design is so good it could amplify a 35watt bulb to 150watts.. According to their calculations if a 100watt is placed that thing would appear to be close to 428watts. WHOAH! That explains the $1450 price tag

Default Has anybody seen these?

I just bought a pair of Euro Dezigns 8500K H.I.D. Xenon-Krypton. These are 894's and are direct replacement foglights for my camaro SS. Does anyone know if these are any good? I just bought them from EBAY for $21.00. I know that sounds cheap (inexpensive). They are supposed to have a strong blue hue without being illegal. What do you think?
