4in Cowl Hood
4in Cowl Hood I got my Glasstek on Monday and put it on that night. Well my problem is when I shut it I have to put alot of pressure on it to lock all the way down. The front of the hood hits the headlights right before it goes down all the way. Has anyone else had this happen? Is it a basic problem that a body shop can fix? (cut/sand the hood) 
I have a 4inch fiberglass hood too. I believe you have to put so much pressure because the hood is light and the struts are made to hold up a heavier hood. The struts have less weight to hold up and are therefore harder to compress.

Im sorry if I wasn't clear but the hood is hitting the headlights before it will fully latch. So I have to lean/push on it pretty good (I weight 220) to get it to latch all the way.
Yeah you have to trim it to fit, quit pushing on the thing before you crack something. I took basically all the lip off above the headlights, and had to remove the bump stop/ adjuster things completely. I've had 2 4" Glasstek hoods and have always used the stock struts with no problems. They make good stuff!
