SS Hoods

Are the SS hoods that are replicas different from the SLP one? The reason I am asking is because on some cars the scoop looks longer.

Any thoughts?

Thats odd. I've never noticed a difference. It must be so small though that I would have had to be up close looking at both from the side (which I have yet to do). Your guess is as good as mine, but I have never heard of such a thing.

I seem to remember that one style is a version of earlier SS styles and the other is more modern

on some of the replicas of the ls1 ss hoods, companies made 96-97 style scoops, which are thicker and taller in the back of the scoop. is that what yoiu are refering to?
