Default Wax Experts- I Need Advice!

I have been a loyal 3M product user for years. From fineese it,to polish,to wax even the detail spray w/great results. But reading on this forum how everbody raves about Zaino and the results have got me wanting to try it.My question is, Is it worth the investment? Am i really going to see a difference between Zaino & 3M? Or are they equivlent products?HELP!

well i use Meguiars gold class everything, and I'm now using there new stuff the NExt ..or whatever its called...meguiars new stuff. I love it, we have also used 3M polish before and i like it. I would have to say that each have their differences but its really whatever you like. Zaino i have heard is picky about exactly how much you put on, i had a friend that was buffing for hours on end because he put too much on the first time, but they say once that first coat is on; the next time you do it it is very easy to put on and take off. I personally like Meguiars, even though you should use very weak soap even meguiars soap after you wax your car or you will be pulling off your just recent wax coat. PEople up here also like Mothers. Just go with what you got, Zaino is harder to get; you have to order it i do believe.

Have you ever tried Meguiars gold class....or their new NEXT products (thats what i think they call them)?????

It really depends on what you're trying to accomplish. You'll obviously need to use more than one product to make the paint look its best, and, as the old adage goes, it's all in the prep work.

I haven't tried the new Z2Pro, but I got a bit tired of Zaino on my black car because it seemed to lack depth. I've heard that Zaino is an excellent choice for lighter colored paints, like white and silver.

Meguires nxt liquid wax and meguires #7 glaze are awesome. Whenever I wax, I use the nxt first, let it sit for 30 minutes, then I put a coat of #7 glaze on. The results are spectacular. And unlike Zaino, they are extremely easy to use. No effort in buffing them off. A microfiber towel is a must. Here are some pics of my 1967 Camaro and 1999 Camaro after I used these products.

The process is more important than the products. If you use Finesse-It, then you should be familiar with proper prep work, which is the most important part of the whole equation.

Zaino is a great product line if you are looking for outstanding durability and a high shine.

Don't be afraid to try new things. It's part of the fun of detailing.

Exactly. I've used Zaino and Blackfire interchangeably over the past couple years and there are things I like and dislike about both. Zaino is very durable and I use it still on my wife's car (SOM Ford Escort ZX2) because I don't wash her car as often as mine.
