Shift Boot Retainer Ring

Does anyone know of a place that sells a better quality shift boot retainer ring then the OEM one, Maybe even something in metal. My first one came broken, and now the second one has snapped. Thanks in advance.

The only place, to my knowledge, you can buy them is the dealer. i'd try installing them from the bottom then anytime you needed to get 'down there' to remove the consol or you'll break it. i was going to fashion something up myself out of metal but then i just switched to a A4 before i had the chance. -Jim

but at the dealler you have to buy the leather boot with it and its like 30-45 $$$$ if i remeber correct

no you can just buy the retainer ring. I have bought 3 of them and need to go get another. They are 8-12 bucks depending on the dealer.
