Try claybar on it, and then use some scratch remover and polish before you wax. It will help some, but it depends on how bad they are.

What worked for me was Meguires (SP?) paint cleaner. Wiped about all my scratches and swirls away.

Remember though, I'm nearly certain that those things that help to remove swirl marks do so by stripping layers off of the paint's clearcoat, especially the clay bar! Nothing against those products, there really is no other way to make them go away...

You are saying that a claybar removes the clear coat? I don't think so my friend.

No. If you read my post, I said it strips away a bit at the clear coat...

Which everything does anyway! Soap, waxing, rain, soap, wind, scrubbing, buffing, you name it. Clearcoat does not last forever. You can prolong it but not make it permanent. Most swirl mark removers are very strong, the increments of the process being a little more accelerated, AND

Moreover, I did say I wasn't sure...

Wet sanding is like very aggressive polishing. You will need to use a high-cut polish just to get the wet sand marks out. I would only do wet sanding as a last resort.

Try GM swirl remover polish...has gotten rid of many swirls and scratches that I thought would never come out. Can buy it at any GM dealership.
