Default Stripes

What would you guys do exterior wise on a non ram air trans am? I was thinking that some stripes might be cool but I am not sure. Here are a few pics of mine and I am going for the black/red scheme...

I've got a black 99 TA with the regular hood also. It's hard to come up with a stripe idea that looks good on the rounded hoods. I think you only need the front hood stripes as that is most noticable. The rear stripes are not necessary and are hardly noticed. I think a lot of the stripes for the ram air hood would look good if you could get them in a longer length. The black Firehawk has a different hood, but I think the design would still work well on our style of hood.

These are my favorite pics:

This one is just kinda OK:

BTW, I'm planning on adding the scoops to my stock hood and make it look like a Ram Air. I'm also going to make the "RAM AIR" letters on the side of the scoop light up in different colors. Like blue and red. Here's a little pic I whipped up. Ignore the black and white paint.

Sweet! I love that 2nd and 3rd picture on there. Wonder who in the world makes those and if they do it in red.

I don't have any info on who makes those kits. They may have been painted on, I'm not sure.

Fortunately, all you need is a good design. A graphics guy (there are several sponsors) can take a picture and you and him could work out a life size drawing of what you want. Or you could sketch exactly what you want on a big sheet of paper and send it to the place. Once you have the shape, he can cut it in any color you want. The skies the limit. There are mirrored colors like cherry red or blue or gold.

There is color change vinyl like the chameleon paint.

Carbon fiber weave patterns, as well as metallic colors:

Just about anything can be made, even 24K gold leaf design, but that's $!

The black Firehawk with blue strips is using a Sapphire Metallic vinyl. It actually changes shades of blue as the light hits it from different angles. Check some more pics here:

The designs were custom made.

It only sounds wrong to someone with no bodyshop experience. When I'm done, you won't be able to tell the difference from the outside.

You see I have a dented hood right now that needs a fresh coat of paint. If I can get some factory looking scoops for like $120 and then do all the molding myself, it would be worth it. Plus the factory hood is metal and is already lined up perfectly so it won't warp over time. The expense is so cheap, that I plan on installing the glowing RAM AIR letters on the sides just for fun. I actually like this idea better than using an aftermarket fiberglass hood.
