I know what your talking about in reagrds to the ECM (black box), but I'm not meaning that. I was thinking that what you guys were talking about was something to do with an airfilter that was a part of the heating and air conditioning. I know that some cars do have this, but I was not sure on the Fbody. That's where I was aiming at.

hmm i stopped at Discount AutoParts last night to get a new filter for my civic. When i was looking in the Purolator book, i noticed that it listed a part # for a cabin filter for our F-Bodies. I guess it would be located behind the glove box like most cars? I'll have to take a look.

I was not able to find a reference to cabin air filters for any Camaros, and specifically the 98. Tried OReillys, Auto Zone, and some other place where I saw that many other GM products have them.
