How to get t-top handle off?

The handles on my t-tops are a little loose and when I hit bumps make a rattle which drives me nuts. I can't figure out how to get the handle off though...I tried to get the plastic piece that surrounds it off but the handle holds it on. I don't just want to pull on the handle and hope thats how it comes off so if anyone knows it would be greatly appriciated.

A C clip holds it on. You should see a chrome metal piece behind teh handle. Use a small screwdriver or something and push it out to the side. It pops right off and on.

THanks, is there any way to tighten it up? I haven't taken it off yet, I just got back from work but going out there knowing what to do makes it alot easier
