I was curious about how many spacers (those little pieces of paper) everyone uses, if at all.

Every car will be different....add spacers to you get a angle that you like.

I just put one on my car and it went on smooth and just had to unscrew it a couple of times to do the spacer adjustment ...... all in all it took like 10 minutes ....... very simple little mods but looks awesome, I hated my T handle on my car.

Yea I just kept adding the paper spacers until the bird was perfectly center. Much better than the T **** and with a shift boot it looks sick. Check out my site if you want to see it.

You will use a different amount of spacers every time you remove the ****, so keep the extras handy.

How did you put that shift boot on there? What brand is it? Was it something custom you had to make?

I have the Firebird leather T-handle in the Z28. I absolutely hated the the stock **** because I couldn't rest my hand on it, and it looked like something from 1982(and it was black, adding yet another shade to the 5 shades of existing grey plastic and leather). I thought about a billet ****, but I couldn't rest my hand on it either, and it would get way too hot in the summer.

I ordered it from jujeracing.com with the ebrake boot as well. I had to do some fabbing to get it to fit right but it made everything look much much nicer. Heres an old pic of my interior but you can see it fairly well.
