Glasstech Pin On Fitment Help I just received my Glasstech pin on hood and am having some issues. The hood seems to fit like poop. It is very tight up towards the mirrors where the corners are, it sags in the center (on the sides) so much that it is at the level of the bolts on the fenders. There is a good 1/2" gap on each side as well width wise. It also seems to be about an inch or so too long on the windshield side. It looks like it fits nice up towards the front corners though. What can I do to get this thing to fit a little better? I am pretty dissapointed right now. My friends all have harwood lift off hoods on their old muscle cars and they are much sturdier and fit fine out of the box. Any suggestions would be a great.
wow thats weird. i bought a glasstek hood for my bird...granted it wasnt a pin on but it fit perfect. i have never heard of quality issues with them before. anyways... good luck getting it to fit.
Sometimes you have to re-shim the fenders to match and also it sounds like you may have it too far back towards the windshield. I have owned a few glasstek hoods and never a problem. But nothing is gonna just drop on and fit. Keep in mind its a camaro, not BMW. Build tolerances are a little loose.
