Need some opinions...
Need some opinions... I am the original owner and have done the entire Dawn-Claybar-Zaino process at least once a year every year since I've had it. Then I would put on more coats of Z5 as the year went on. It is time now that i do the Dawn-Claybar-Zaino process for this year, but before I start, I can see that there is a haze on the paint. Should I try using a paint cleaner after I clay the car, then put the Zaino polish on? I am not familiar at all with paint cleaner and what it does, and how it works, how to use it and what brand is safe to go with. Does my "haze" problem sound like I need to use paint cleaner? And what causes this "haze"?

A really good site that'll give you TONS of info on detailing, waxing ect. is www.autopia.org , but my oppinion, I would NEVER use Dawn on my car, I know Zano says to use it to get the wax off, but i'm scared that it would screw up my paint in some way. I'm not implying that's what's caused your haze, but if it were mine that's the first thing I would think. You can use a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcahol and water in a spray bottle to help remove the wax, or i've also read that 3M adhesive cleaner works good and is also safe for your finish. Just my $.02
Thanks for the info! But i have some Meguires Show Car Wax (I think that is what it is called) and I used it on a small portion of the paint and the "haze" went away. So I know that it is not stuck in the paint. I know that there are some abbrasives in the Meguire's, and that is why the "haze" went away. So I'am sure the Dawn once a year isn't the cause of this.
