Gonna do EVERYTHING outside of the car.. Since I have access to the lift.. 396 LT1, AFR 227 heads, fully CNC'd LT4 Intake form Lingenfelter, Monoblade...flow number snad what not Desktop Dyno is saying 643 Flywheel HP... Thanks for the compliments guys!!! Anyone find the fuel line hole yet? |

They are well on their way, sorry guys got held up at the Unadilla National Motocross this weekend, and got in late, I'm gonna be workin on it today, and hopefully get pics up within the next day or so, here'a sneak peak, after the rough cuts were made...after welding the cage in so bare with me on the ugly cage it'll be cleaned up and show quality in the next set of pics... Finished cuts, as well as primer will be the next pics... http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...k/CagePass.jpg |
and as for the comments of the pics being too dark, here are some pics that are easier to see...Outside under the sun instead of Halogen shop lights, so now can you play FIND THE FUEL LINE HOLE... https://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y1...rk/Paint14.jpg https://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y1...rk/Paint15.jpg https://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y1...rk/Paint16.jpg https://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y1...rk/Paint17.jpg https://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y1...rk/Paint18.jpg |
looks great!!!!!! .....what kind of paint did you use.....high temp? clear coat..how many coats? |
It was ppg base coat clear coat. With 2 coats of black and 2 coats of clear. We didn't use any high temp paint for the engine bay. Ryan has came along way with his car. It will be quite impressive when finished. |
Awww thanks Adam lol...Adam's been a great deal of help for me with this project!! Can't wait to see his Hawk up and running... |
awesome! |
Hey ryan, its looking good. I had a question though...with cutting the entire roof off like that, why didn't you choose to put a full cage in so that if you ever did happen to flip the car or something you would actually have a cage over your head to support the roof from crashing on you? Seems like the windshield would fold right up with no support on it any more. You plan on latching the targa using t top mounts right? or has that changed now? |
