Question Broken Ashtray Question
well one hinge on my ashtray is broken, i was wondering do these come out easily from other cars. I dont use it i just want it to say closed...never let a girl put her knee on your ashtray...thanks for the info, if anyone knows if i can just buy a factory replacement or whatever that would help too

well you see...there was this girl in my car and somehow one of her knees ended up on my ashtray, but enough about that, lol, anyone ever broke their ashtray and if so....how to's on fixing

Damn my g/f broke mine too! The next day she went to the dealer, and two days later I had a new one. Can't help you on the install as my g/f also installed it for me .

women...anyways how much did it cost, if you remember, i thought taking it to a dealer would be high, so i was seeing if it was an easy fix

The dealership told me I had to replace the entire center piece around the shifter for my broken ash tray

sweet man, i would like the part number, i searched one site and think the part i need is the manual ashtray lid, i guess i could just go to the dealership

no i dont have pics of what is broken, but it is the lid, it wont stay closed and look flush, its one of the hinges, i couldnt tell right off how to get it out, thanks for the help
any suggestions on where to look online to buy one?

Yea man just go to dealer I can't find the part#. The parts guy was able to find it pretty quick (he had a blown up pic of the console with individual part#'s) wasn't more then $10.
