I do hope your Grant wheel will make the swap easyer than with the Lecarra billet alu.
I think the people at Lecarra have to check up the hub, its to long (1") and have to come down closer to the steering column.

The "set" come from Summit.

The light, I put a piece of black tape over the symbol, I did the overlays at the same time, silver from ryan@macewen.net

the grant wheel install is really smooth if you get the install kit. the only thing i had to do was put some washers behind the adaptor hub because it was rubbing on the sterring column. i will get pics as soon as i get my digital camera back from my wife

Yes, it looks much better than the expensive ($ 65) Lecarra billet hub.

Just get a cage, and some harness's, that will help more than an airbag ever thought about doing.

I have four point harnesses, switching to 5 when i get my cage welded in. my car is not a daily driver, pretty much strip only, so if i got into a situation where i need the airbag, i think the harnesses and cage would help

lol good point. i may have to wait until i can get that type of set up. all for a steering wheel, lmao. but worth it in the long run. these cars are fun as hell, but lol **** gets scary sometimes and a big plate of metal opposed to an air bag makes me uneasy. unles ofcourse im decked out like u guys with harnesses and roll cages, haha thats the way to go. ::drives off cliff, walks away laughing::

to whoever said what to do about the air bad light, all you do is find the resistance that the air bag module had, find a resistor with the same amount, and just hook in up (in series i believe)

now i love the idea of the aftermarket steering wheels they look great, but why take out something as valuable as an air bag out just for looks? it's truly a life saver, sometimes a seatbelt isn't enough, i dont get it guys. keep your airbag

Weight reduction. Also read into, strip only.

yes, weight reduction and it looks better. if you think that is bad, i also have my bumper supports, front and rear removed, and the passenger airbag. it is drag only so, you don't need it.

Yes I try that way too with 2 ohm resistor, but it did not work for me.

How about an air bag wheel in the old muscle cars from 1970, have anybody change
the old steering wheel to a new with bag, pics please

As far as the absence of an air bag, it never bothered me the first ten years I possessed a driver's license. None of the vehicles i drove up until getting my 'bird in '99 had an air bag. I do get what you're saying though, as I think it would feel a little wierd to not have one now.

The wheel swaps do look nice. One of these days I might do that to my 'bird.
