ive gotten enough info on wet sanding the rear panel after removing the faded red bird and then polishing to a shine. but i want to put a decal over where the bird and trans am logo used to be, will the polish affect the vinyl from sticking to the panel? any suggestions, ideas, input?

No, just clean the area where you are going to put he decal with alcohol and it will stick fine.

Have something painted on it instead of a decal. That's what I did....

down the road, the decal should do for now. its metallic silver, somwhat like the anniversary tail panels. thanks guys
