Default Debadging

I put on some z06 style z28 badges and when I debadged the original z28 badges, you could still see the outline of the badges. I'm pretty sure it's from the badges taking the clear coat off with them. Is there anyway I can minimize this or get rid of it completely without spraying clear coat?

I took all my Z badges off my car and I got a buddy that details at a body shop to buff that ring your talking about right off....as long as you didnt mess up the paint when scraping the badges, it should jus need a good buff...My 2gz is totaly debadged and i shaved the camaro off between the rear tail lights...total sleeper...
