Painting interior panels
Why do you say you got sick of it ?
I MAY get a little bit of a darker color, it is pretty light, or I may just mist a darker color (black maybe) over it to darken it some. But I think it looks neat. I haven't done the cup holder part of the console yet, and I may not because I plan on one day making a fiberglass replacement for that part with no cup holder or ashtray/change tray. We'll see.
I'll try to post some pictures of what I've done to it tonight or tomorrow
Prepped and painted it with red to match the car. I liked it. Decided to do a little more. Ended up screwing up the piece that goes over the gauges and had to paint the whole thing red. In the weeks after it got old FAST. I got so sick of it I priced out new parts but they were ridiculous, so I sanded the pieces down again and this time painted them a gloss black, and I also replaced the piece over the gauges. This stayed in the car a long time and I even got quite a few compliments on it, but it really didn't go with the car (if the car was black it would have worked out well) so I eventually just spent the money (and a good bit too) to get replacement parts and go back to stock. I spent alot of money and time to end up back at stock. If you're going to do it, do a silver look like Firechicken or do a gloss black look. Anything else will get old fast IMO, especially brighter colors.
