Default Por-15

Has anyone POR-15ed their KBDD SFC's? The shop that installed mine just spray painted over them and now after 2 years half of the paint is off so I have half NBM and half shiny silver showing. Was thinking about POR-15, then NBM spray... Just wasn't sure if the POR would stick to the zinc, I'm assuming it would...

You will need to do a little sanding and then clean it up with Marine Clean. After that use Metal Ready and then paint the POR 15 coat. You can get a starter kit from POR 15 that has all of this stuff. It is easy and will work great.

Oh, If you do use POR 15 (I would highly recommend it) wear rubber gloves. If you get it on your skin only time or a grinder will take it off. I had a few black spots on my hands for a month.

Or, if you don't really care too much how it looks under the car you can get a rattle can of undercoating.

Yea, I did my rear axle and front spindles and didn't wear gloves and also had that stuff on my hands for 3 weeks...

I'm going to sand them down, clean with alcohol and POR. i may then spray them NBM. Thanks...
