"SS" PLAQUE DAMAGED HELP*
i have a 1996 camaro ss, and my plaque that says SS, and the build number got ruined by having somthing spilled on it, the black cover like material peeled off.it is made out of the same stuff the ls1 camaro SS plaques are made out of.any suggestions on how to fix it?has this happed to anyone?thanks...

I think MBA makes these plaques for SLP.
It sounds like the fluid that spilled on it had some sort of acid that ate away the paint.
I would just fork over the money and get another one.

i called slp, and they said good luck!its not the standard SS plaque, it is from a 1996 SS, so it reads Z28SS CAR #xxx, i dont think i can have another one made?any way to have the top refinished?

It's very much like SLP's Camaro SS keychains with that black fill material. After removing the old material, you need have something like a liquid that can be poured in to fill it, something that would harden like a plastic.
