Help! Trying to remove Painted on Pinstriping
Help! Trying to remove Painted on Pinstriping OK, Im finally killing my painted pinstriping the original owner of the car got. The other day I had to take an extended trip with it, and when I got back I sprayed wherever heavy bug juice was with some degreaser. While I was washing it I noticed some of it was flaking off (not in large ammounts though). Is there any product that might help remove it any faster/cleaner at all? Ive been tempted to wet sand it, however, if it was flaking off simply due to some degreaser and a sponge...has to be a better way...

Pressure washer... If you want I can show you pictures of my Charger how I got ALOT of the paint from the engine bay to come off with just the pressurer washer alone... it flaked off in peices, so it should work with yours...
Its the first thing I suggest before going with anything abbrasive or chemical. If possible start off with a not so powerful setting (or from a distance), try different angels, but dont damage your body panels.

Are you sure it's painted on? If it's from the factory it should just be vinyl stickers. Mine came right off, used a little goo gone on the sticky residue.
Unless of course the original owner actually had it painted on...then you need to wetsand like previously mentioned.

Anyway, will probably be trying the wetsanding tonight on it.
