They will have a visible horizontal grain and some shine to them.
You will not "see" anything in them but they do reflect light.

These are the MBA inserts, I bought them before Dragon was selling his.
I have since bought several of Dragons items and you will be very happy with them. Also WAY cheaper than MBA.
