You going to tell me my car was in a wreck (both sides) when I bought it new from the dealer? Nah, it's just where these cars flex. It sucks, I know, just buy subframe connectors...

Are there any other mods besides sfcs that will help prevent these dents?

And I'm not saying that I think it's been wrecked because of the dimples on the quarters panels, it's all the other things that make me wonder. Like the new paint job and the panels that don't line up. The dealership told me it was repainted because the sun had faded the original paint but I'm starting to doubt that. If the car was wrecked that would explain why they were asking 5K under the KBB value.
Also, why does everybody always assume that I'm a guy Do I need to start typing in pink text so it's obvious I'm a girl? Or will that just make everyone think I'm a gay guy?

One good way to see if it was in a wreck is to have someone see if the car leaves straight. If it doens't, then you'll know that you have frame damage if the car was in a bad wreck. Maybe the hood the got damaged and was changed. And the back panel was crooked on my old T/A also but I bought that car new so I know it wasn't in a wreck. Hope that helps some.

I don't think that will happen, it's not like there's a bunch of leg humpers on this site. But just in case, let me mention that I am 4' tall and I weigh 300 pounds and I have a hunch back

Subframes are your best bet. Little else will help body flex.

To answer your other question, include this pic with your posts, and people will get the general idea. I wouldn't take it personal, though. I often use the traditional "masculine" descriptors with reference to humans of unknown gender. Call it politically incorrect or rude, but it is not intended to be, just a way to get the point across .

Edit: That took so long to go through that 2 messages got ahead of me. Oh well. By the way, I like the pic in your sig.

now it makes sense. i was thinking it just "comes with the territory" even with a stock car on street tires. i'll still get sfc eventually but now i'm not as worried

That's understandable, it just gets annoying sometimes. When I post on the forums everyone thinks I'm a dude, when I'm driving around town everyone thinks it's my boyfriend's car. But whatever, that's all besides the point ....let's get back on topic here..... is there any way to get rid of the dents? Paintless dent removal, perhaps? Also, there's a lot more dents than what showed up in the pictures...I'd say 5+ on each side. And my car's been almost completely stock since I've had it, I've never used slicks or anything.

I'd look into the paintless dent removal. They're probably small enough that they can get them out without too much trouble. If not, they should let you know during the estimate. Good luck.

What can I say, maybe I secretly work for ...UMI

It sucks doesn't it? I baby the hell out of my car. Bring it to a show, and everyones like wow, clean car. Oh wait, got a couple dents huh? Pisses me off every time. You can see a clear ding/crease on both of mine. I'm not going to fix it until I've got my subframe connectors on though. Probably this Saturday, as they've been sitting in my room for months...

So that's what those dents on my quarters are, I thought it was hail damage (car got caught outside in one ) or some SOB door dinging me @ work
Well all I can say is yes PDR works for these dents, and SFCs apparently do help prevent them (tho I've only had them on for a week)
Kind of amazing IMO a stock car has the power to wrinkle the sheet metal/torque the frame (unibody)

2K2WS6TA, any reason why you went with the 3 point sfc's. i'm looking into the umi sfc's but i wasn't sure if i should get the tubular or boxed ones.

My opinion, they do a better job of tying the car together, don't know if that's based in fact, it's just what I think.
They have made quite a difference in the rigidity of the car, I was getting some squeaks and rattles starting, put the SFCs on, all quiet, and it just feels more like one piece (I've noticed the handling seems to have improved too)
Either way you go, 2 or 3 point, it'll help, plus the 3 point really tuck up nice, doesn't impact ground clearance at all
Can't say about the 2 point

I just noticed these in my front fenders a couple of hours ago and was wondering were they came from. I guess I know now.

It could have been wrecked, since the whole car was repainted, it' ll be a little tougher to tell. Look at the undercarriage and structural metal really well for any abnormalities. Look at and around the radiator support. Look behind interior panels. Look for any broken paint on some of the more hidden structural metals. That is where things are normally beaten back into place which cracks the paint, and a lot of times is harder than hell to feather-edge and paint over without seeing signs of repair.

Typing in pink would make everyone think your gay, so I' ve got a better idea. Have someone take a pic of you in a bikini, with you laying on the hood. Just don' t move around too much, being only four feet tall and weighing 300lbs, you don' t equalize your weight very well. If you' re not careful, you' ll be putting another hood on the car! Don' t worry about that pic scaring people off, I' m sure we have a few chubby-chasers here somewhere!

You have dents on your front fenders? They' re plastic, they should not dent, only the hood and 1/4's on these cars can be dented.

I'll get some pics up for you to decide. I might be wrong but to me they look identical to the pics of the rear panel
