I bought a reverse gloe white face guage but I dont thionk it'll look right without that bezel that seperates the tach from the speedometer they have on trans ams. Could i go to junkyard and get that piece to put in my Z?
If I had a Z28, the hood I would get would be the UltraZ hood. I think that hood and the SS hood are the best two hoods for camaros. You cant go wrong with either. SS hoods are everywhere. If I did not have a true SS, I would have an UltraZ hood. It is different. Ofcorse, post pics.
I'd only tint the tail lights if you do in fact tint the windows as well. Then when you do put racing stripes on, black or charcoal will compliment the tint perfectly.

IMO the Sunoco hood looks just as good as the SS hood on pewter. If I had a Z, I'd definately thinka bout getting that hood, then doing the old-school SS style stripes in black on it. That would look amazing.
I wouldnt worry much about how common the SS hood is. If you're going to pull the hood put the most badass hood you possibly can on - which IMO = Sunoco. Ive got an SS, and while I absolutley love it, if I had a Z I wouldnt think twice about getting a Sunoco. It follows the lines, it looks badass and its classic styling. What more can you ask for? It too will become more and more common, so why not go ahead and be on the front side of that vs the back?
