Default HID Pic

Ok, crappy pic. I need to get my camera back so I can take some night shots.

Left is halogen, right is the 6500K HID kit. I dig these lights.

Damn! Even in the light that is one hell of a difference. I need details on the HID kit and more pics.

http://www.hid-vision.com/catalog/

cheapie kit really, but it seems to work great from all i've seen. Kicking myself for not doing this sooner. A bit blue at night, but then my car is blue too, it's only a slight tinge.

I promise this will be my only 'ricer' mod.

Hey nothing rice about making your lights brighter so you can see where you're going at night. IMO I think the headlights on these cars suck for the most part. My '04 Impala is the same way. Not too bad, but nowhere near as bright as they should be. I miss the old sealed beams on my IROC. For some reason the always seemed alot brighter than the new(er) composite setups.

Do you think if you got both high beams and low beams that one would be brighter than the other. I'd imagine tey are both the same.

I'd like more info on this setup, it'd be kind of neat to do!

it's just a 9006 kit, with 6500K bulbs.

Kit comes with bulbs, ballasts, and ignitors, all the wiring (oddly, I had to wire mine in reverse, but hey)

Took about 40 mins to install, since we took our sweet time.

Some notes: 1. hook it up loose to test, if it works, find a place to ziptie, or place the components. Under the headlights worked great for the ignitors. Placed the other box near the upper fender.

The people that I know who have bought similar kits only have low beams. In order to get lows and highs from the same bulb it nearly triples the cost. I think that if you were to get two seperate kits one for highs and one for lows depending on the projector the highs would be significantly brighter, obiviously. I will try to talk to some of the guys I know who have done this mod.

well maybe using a low set of HID's for some high beams would work? over here they are stingy on the beam things!!

I knew you punks would gasp at the dirty engine bay, hey, got back from a trip to cali (roattrip)

Anywho, it's just normal lowbeams. If you turn your highbeams on, your outer lights turn off. I was pondering getting a 2nd highbeam kit (if they make it) then aiming them normal height, then using a relay which would run all 4 lamps at the same time.
