Manta Decal - first pic

After you soak the decal and the surface with soapy water you slap the sticker down and line it up - if your engine is hot or if you're in the sun line it up fast. When you peel the other paper off the decal will slide and stretch to hell and back, and the little pinstripes along the side will move and stretch even more. Getting it to lay flat on top looked pretty easy, but trying to squeege it around the sides of the scoop it just doesn't want to lay down nice - it will crease and fold and bubble. Stephen had to cut a couple of the folds and overlap them - they show a little but it still looks good.
On the back we took the wing off and he put down the bottom decal. If you take your wing off, watch the corners of the center supports of the wing - they will chip or crack when you're "peeling" it loose (double sided tape for the center supports)
At the back window there was enough he could tuck it down there a little and trim it there. On the spoiler we wanted it back a little farther and we were just a tad short on being able to wrap it under the front there.
Some of the big bubbles you may have to poke with a pin or the point of an exacto knife to let the air out. He did several and they don't show at all.
If you've never done decals on a complex curved surface, don't make this set your first attempt.
Anyway, thanks for the compliments. Hopefully I'll get it washed and rewaxed and have it out this weekend somewhere.
