Default getting menzerna off after porter?

Just received the porter/menzerna products after reading the FAQ post and different reviews and have a question. Just did the hood w/ this process:
wash
clay
wash
intensive polish w/ yellow pad then wipe off w/ 50/50 water alcohol and microfiber cloths
FPII w/ white pad then wipe off w/ just a clean microfiber cloth
hand wax w/ meguiar's
I noticed it was pretty difficult to get the FPII off using my microfiber towels. I mean most would come off no problem but then I would get some spots that were Very difficult to get off. Even w/ me concentrating on that spot w/ the cloth it was still hard to get off. This is w/ me doing just the hood of my wife's Tahoe ('02). Any ideas?
Thanks,
Geoff

Two things I recommend:

1) Wet the surface with a spray bottle of water (no alcohol) and wipe off with that and a MF towel.
2) If the polish is really caked on, you're probably using too much or not working it in enough. It should be almost clear when it is worked in properly.

Let us know if those do/don't help.

Sounds like areas where it was too heavy. I have used Menzerna but when I was doing my car with Sonus in spots where it was a little heavier it was harder to get off. All you need is a thin coat it'll go a long way. Just keep working it back and forth until it seems you have reached the surface limit for the amount of product you applied. Whenever you put the product on your pad you don't really need a whole lot I typically do 3 lines around the edge that are about an inch long. This is typically enough for me to do about half my hood. Don't use the PC in just one direction go N-S overlapping about 1/2 a path and then switch to E-W overlaping about 1/2 a path and go over it a couple times each way.

This is what seems to work best for me with the products I use. It might be a little different for yours but just a suggestion.

Thanks for the help guys but apparently it was only a problem on the hood (first time using all the products is my geuss). The rest of the truck went fine. I did shift to a terry cloth to get the FPII off and that seemed much easier than the microfiber on the hood. Then again maybe I was using too much on the hood.

Had the same problem when I first did the T/A, the water in the spray bottle did the trick, just a light mist was all it took.
After that I started using less of the FPII, and didn't have that problem again
