put some mesh behind the ss grill and then made an overlay out of the same mesh for the hood scoop. i think it sets it off, very few have done the hood and the grill most just do the grill.

What kinda mesh is that? I got some behind my grille as well, I thought about doing the hood scoop but could figure out a way to get it to stay. How did you get the mesh on the hood scoop? It looks really good.

LS2 bait, that is just a stock SS grille? I didn't realize it had a horizontal line going through the middle. Where can I get one of those aftermarket? And ditto on the mesh, what kind did you use and how did you get it to stick? Thanks!

Very nice cars!!

I own a red camaro, so I'm thinking about either getting the black Billet grille and put the SS emblem on it in red or paint the stock one in red, what do u think? (I always thought that the chrome aluminum grilles don't look that good with red f-bodies IMO)

Sweeet ride ProjectCamaro!!

I have the same grille as the Dale Earnhardt intimidator camaro. Cost me 70$ for grille, 35$ for emblem, and only 15$ for powdercoating since I was coating a bunch of stuff.

thanx for the compliment guys ya its a stock ss grill and its my favorite looking one. u can buy them from chevy, slp, and afterthoughts. and of course the for sale section and ebay. i used mesh that i got from lowes (same as home depot dont know if they are nation wide). it is for rain gutters to keep leaves and such out and i cut it out roughly with a cutting wheel and shapped it on a grinder. u have to get it almost exact as the shape on the grill otherwise it wont slide back in and will scratch the paint. then i used 2 part epoxy to stick it on. the one in the hood took a couple extra minutes because it pretty much has to be perfect andthen i found the smallest zip ties i could and used them in the corners and 1 in the center. u really have to look to see them. i also cleared them all with a couple coats of duplicolor wheel clearcoat i had laying around as to protect them.

Black Stull billet grille with '69 Z/28 emblem. It was spray painted flat black behind the grille.

Either the black billet grille, or the black SLP SS grille will be perfect. If WW still made their grille it'd be another option, but I wouldnt get the RKsport one unless you could fill in the RKsport

Not a very good angle but I have the Wings west grill with painted vent holes to match the hood. I like both the Wings west and the SLP about th same, not crazy about the billet grills.
