I did it this past weekend. Thin nylon fishing string works good, sliding it under the emblems. As far as the adhesive, use 3M Adhesive Remover put on with a small brush, and let it set, then use a credit card to scrape it off, NOT A RAG, it will gum up if you rub it.
Fishing line, or dental floss also works, let it sit in the sun all day (if you feel a little silly taking a hair dryer to your car) If you do try to rubthe glue off with your finger you'll have a blister by the time you're done, so use the 3m adhesive remover (much easier

i just peeled mine of after letting it sit in the sun, took some wd40 to it and just started rubbing with my finger. it's not the best way, but it worked for me. and yeah..my finger did hurt after that.
