Paint Question
I just had my car completely repainted due to the fact that the landscaping crew at my work blew fertilizer all over the car and destroyed the clear coat. I picked the car up and the car looked good except for 2 places. First the bumper lines did not match as well as I would like but the shop said it is plastic and has slots it fits into so there wasn't any type of adjustment that could be made. Second the middle strip in between the t-tops was not painted and this the shop said was due to the fact that it was a piece of plastic epoxyed in and they could not paint it. It had paint on it before so obviously there is a way to paint it. Has anyone had any experience with these two issues? I need some technical ammo to go back to this shop with.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The center t top piece does not come painted from the factory. You can paint it though. I painted mine b/c i though it looked better. It has about 8 screws to pull it off. The bumpers do not really have any alignment but you can slot the holes and make it line up how you want to...they probably did not do that due to it actually taking time. Did the bumpers line up right before and now they are off?

Is the center piece molded in the color of the car? Could this part be purchashed for replacement? How do you access the 6 screws you mentioned? Is it possible to just paint over it while it is still on the car?
Thanks for the help.
