Default need a how-to for Zaino application

I have no experience with Zaino and I was told the procedure is different from traditional waxes. Just thought I'd tap into the great ls1tech knowlege before I make a bunch of mistakes

I am not looking for a carshow shine, just want to protect the car and have it look decent.

I have:

1 bottle of Zaino 2
1 tiny bottle of "Effects Accelerator" and 3 mix bottles
2 pieces of blue clay bar
Bunch of cotton towels
1 Millenium Yellow Z06 - with no wax on it and 3M Scotchgard film applied to several areas of the car. The paint/clear is in perfect condition, except for VERY light swirls.

What are the steps and things to watch out for?
Do I need anything else?
Is it safe to apply Z2/ZFX on top of 3M film or do I need to go around it?

What I did for my first Zaino application
1 wash car with Dawn dishwashing liquid, and a sheepskin mitt (you can get the mitt from Wal Mart)
2 clay entire car (use a soap, I used the Dawn, and water solution in a spray bottle for the clay bar lubricant)
3 use a plastic bag over your hand and rub it on the paint surface, if it slids easily and smoothly you're done claying, if it feels rough clay somemore until its smooth
4 wash car again
5 dry with a leaf blower (electric only)
6 mix Z2 and ZFX (the effects accelerator) according to the directions
7 apply Z2 in thin coats (3 max)
8 allow to dry
9 buff to a high gloss shine
10 open can of favorite cold beverage, and relax
BTW the Z2 will do nothing for the swirl marks (maybe fill them in)
I'd go around the 3m film, just to be safe
That's what I did for a black car
Good luck and happy Zainoing

The Zaino process is no different than any other full detail process:

Wash
Claybar
Wash
Polish with abrasive and/or cleaner as necessary to remove swirls, etc. - optional
Seal - Z2 w/ ZFX
Detail Spray

Apply it very thinly to the whole car (glass and wheels too if you want). 1 oz. (half the ZFX mixing bottle) is good for 3 full coats on your Vette. You should *barely* be able to see it. The thinner the better.

It will be fine to apply over the 3M film.
