I've never had the tires crack from using it, I've never had tires crack unless they sit there for long periods of time. I'm talking over a year though. But those tires never had tire shine on them...

Your friends are full of it

I've never had that happen on tires. Tire shine is not what causes tires to dry rot and crack; letting them sit for too long or letting them get old is.

Cake on too much tire shine, and that would probably crack. The tires cracking from using tire shine is pure hogwash.

yah thats what i thought... my one friend put tire shine on and soon after that, the tires got cracks around the sidewall... i told him he was full of ****.. i think i decided that it was because his tires were old, dry, had 50k miles on them and had been sitting in the salty, sunny florida weather.... but he wouldn't give it up so I figured i'd ask just to be on the safe side...

Cracking of the tires is caused by "stale air" bring in the tire for to long. As you drive your car air actually is able to transfer across the bead and keep the air "fresh." To keep tires from developing cracks, dont let the air get "stale"

Kidding....BTW, tire shine wont cause cracks FYI
