Default black ss appearance mods? need help!

ok since i bought my car there has seem to have been a black ss uprising in my town. hal the kids i know what one now. so i needto make some changes to set mine apart. i dont want to spend an arm and a leg as i want to make it faster. the thing is i really like my car the way it is but i hate it being the same as someone elses.

so far my exterior mods are minimal. (mesh behind grill and hood scoop, removed bowtie from rear panel, hurst emblem, corsa exhaust, ! side moldings, limo tint, lowering springs) i just bought the paint to do my brakes red but now im debating switching to the silver emblems (like every other ss) and doing them black. need opinions! thanx guys.

I think it looks great. Maybe a slight drop? Paint looks very shiny.

I don't have an SS, but I have a black Z, like too many people around here, and I wanted to make mine stand out so I took off all the badges, got a black billet grille, got stainless 'CAMARO' inserts, the same exhaust you have, 10-spoke SS wheels, black calipers, and a drop too. I still want to paint the rear panel satin black, get the Whistler mod, clear corners, and a different badge for the nose, maybe a slight tint too.

It looks great the way it is. If anything get some new wheels and change the red accents to some other color.

Heres my old v6 with blushed aluminum inserts from Brent Franker

Heres it with the Xenon GFX kit that it used to have. I know most people arent "body kit" people but what the hell. I got it to set me apart from all the other 24734235834734 black Camaros here.

Having a factory color car = you're going to "fade in" somewhere. You've got some good stuff going on, so keep it up! Its the little things that make a car stick out. Even w/ there being other black SS's around town, people will notice your car.

I wouldnt do the Whistler mod unless you smoke the corners too. The chrome around the headlights compliments the grille mesh and the clear corners perfectly. Doing the silver SS badges will compliment that even more (no matter how many other SSs have it). I personally wouldnt paint the calipers red, I'd do them in silver or gloss black. Gloss black will fade in, but if you put silver or graphite "CAMARO" or "SS" badging on it they'll stand out.

You've got an awesome looking car. Everything flows perfectly. You can do things like a ZL-1/Manta stripe to offset that even more. Its the little things that make a car stand out, and yours is doing that IMO.

I agree, wheels and tires will usually set it apart. Mine is black also but it has the silver Berger SS stripes and changed all the red emblems to silver, did clear corners and the stull billet grill. And just ordered some Boyd Rebel's 9.5" fronts and 11" rears. Haven't seen one like it here....knock on wood.

Agree with inserts.

Save up for some wheels. Nothing really sets your car apart more than having totally different rims that really stand out.

i know exactly what you mean with a black SS...here is mine before:

and after: the CME was the biggest improvement by far everyone loves it.

i added:
the grille with SS on it, stainless steel inserts in rear, CME, stainless steel ss symbol in front, and 5% tint.

the other things that i want to add are:
stainless steel SS emblems, and grill on hood.

some different wheels.

just some opinions with pictures....
